At EMDC, we offer our students the opportunity to perform in several productions throughout the school year. Each winter, EMDC stages an extra-curricular show open to all dancers age 6 and up. Every other spring, EMDC presents a themed, fully-staged, and costumed recital of all classes. On non-recital years, EMDC offers an informal showcase of classes similar to recital but without the cost of formal costumes.
“Winter Wishes” is a heart-warming story about a young girl who wishes for a life far different from her own. When she gets the chance to make her dreams come true, she finds that everything worth wishing for was hers all along. “Winter Wishes” will incorporate numerous styles of dance, including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, and Middle Eastern. It will offer several unique soloist roles along with many ensemble numbers. The show is open to any dancer age 6 and up who wishes to participate, including non-EMDC students. Specific roles are determined by age and skill level through a formal audition process. Rehearsals are scheduled on Saturdays with additional rehearsals scheduled on Friday nights for soloists.
